Vice-Chair, Felipe Kaplan

Hello Delegates! My name is Felipe Kaplan and I’m currently a Sophomore at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (Gávea Campus). I am honored to serve as the Junior ECOSOC (The Economic and Social Council) Chair at RIOMUN IV, alongside Francisco Tilley.

My journey in MUN began a few years ago, also in RIOMUN, as a first-time delegate just like many of you guys. Now, as your Chair, I am excited to guide this committee through fruitful debates and meaningful discussions on some of the most pressing social and economic issues facing the world today. I know that stepping up can feel intimidating (I've been in your position before), but I encourage every delegate to get involved and take risks throughout the conference—after all, that's what MUN is all about. This is your chance to make the most of this experience, and I'm excited to see how each of you will contribute to the success of RIOMUN IV.

Outside of MUN, I'm passionate about mathematics and finance and I love traveling with family and friends.

If you have any questions, concerns, or want to talk about the conference, feel free to reach out to me (felipebkaplan@gmail.com) or to Francisco. I’m always happy to help with any doubts or concerns prior to or in RIOMUN IV and help you all make the most out of this experience.
