Meet the Secretariat
Arthur O’Donnell
Secretary-General
Hi everyone!
I'm Arthur de Moraes O’Donnell, and I'm honored to serve as your Secretary-General for RioMUN 2024. This conference holds a special place in my heart, having been involved since the very first edition. It's been an incredible journey to witness how far RioMUN has come, and I'm thrilled to contribute to its continued growth and success.
My MUN journey began in 2020, starting with online conferences. It wasn’t until RioMUN that I truly found my passion for Model United Nations, discovering the joy of active participation and personal growth. This experience has shaped me and led to my current role, where I’m excited to lead this year’s conference.
I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you during this remarkable event. If you have any questions, or thoughts, or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out to me at arthurdemoraesodonnell@gmail.com.
Let’s embark on this memorable journey together!
Ana Luiza Braga
Deputy Secretary-General
Greetings delegates, advisors, and fellow leadership team members! I'm Ana Luiza, a senior from EARJ Barra and I'm honored to be serving as the Deputy Secretary General for the fourth edition of RioMUN! My first experience with MUN dates back to seventh grade, and ever since I started, I was completely awed by the intense debates I saw flourish in committee rooms. RioMUN I was my first experience as a chair, so this conference has a very special place in my heart as I watched it evolve and grow over time. This conference held by my school set me on this transformative journey which I will always cherish and be grateful for.
I hope that each one of you experiences the same passion and growth I did, from first time delegates amazed by the dynamic debates in committee rooms to those who will maybe someday become diplomats. As the Deputy Secretary General, I will be striving to foster your diplomatic skills and to make this a remarkable experience for everyone, and I hope you all leave this weekend with unforgettable memories and keeping RioMUN as close to your hearts as our team does.
Other than MUN, I love the ocean, traveling, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite subjects are Global Politics, Economics and English. If I am not studying for the IB, you'll find me at the beach, making scrapbooks or playing the piano. Please don't hesitate to contact me at analubraga08@gmail.com if you have any questions, or concerns or if you just want to exchange great reading or piano recommendations!

Yasmin Pinto
Deputy Chief Operating Officer
Hi Everyone! I’m Yasmin, a current Junior in EARJ Gavea and I will be serving as Deputy COO in the 4th Edition of RioMUN. I first joined MUN back in 8th grade, and as I stumbled my way into the “MUNer” I am now, I genuinely attribute MUN to many intellectual developments in my life. But beyond that, MUN made me meet wonderful people and has always been a source of pleasure. My best experiences in the activity have been in RioMUN, and I hope we can provide delegates the same experience. Outside of MUN I am a huge Film Buff and am passionate about subjects such as History and Chemistry! Please do not hesitate in reaching out to me at yasminvgpinto@gmail.com! See you soon
Isabela Chagas
Head of Design
Hello everyone! My name is Isabela Chagas, and I’ve been studying at EARJ Barra for the past three years, and have been a member of the MUN club for two of those years. It is an honor to work with all my companions on this incredible conference!! I hope to support everyone in making preparations easier for everyone involved. As Head of Design, I hold a passion for all kinds of artistic and creative work and have a knack for social media administration, which I express daily through not only my MUN duties, but through academic art projects, and of course, my career as a runway and commercial model. I also thoroughly enjoy keeping things well-organized and in order, so the conference can flow, guaranteeing the enjoyment and wellbeing of all those present in RioMUN.
Thanks for reading, and hope to see you at RioMUN 2024!
Ana Machado
Press Director
Hi, everyone! My name is Ana Machado, I’m a sophomore at The British School of Rio de Janeiro and I am incredibly honored to serve as Press Corps Director for RioMUN IV.
My passion for photography and editing started at a very young age and due to my parents’ encouragement and when I learned about the Press Corps Committee within the Model UN Program, I could apply such acquired techniques as a Press member.
During this conference, alongside Deputy Press Corps Director Rafaela Reis, I intend to capture the event in multimedia forms, working through committee videos, informative articles, conference video and most importantly, guiding Press delegates to achieve their fullest potential and concretize the amazing conference this will be!
Looking forward to RioMUN IV!
Rafaela Reis
Deputy Press Director
Hi everyone!! My name is Rafaela Reis, and I’ll be acting as RIOMUN IV’s Deputy Press Director. I’m currently a senior at Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro’s Barra’s campus. It’s my first time participating in RIOMUN, however, when living abroad, I attended MUN as journalist, chair, delegate, and press! MUN has been far more than just an academic activity for me, apart from being a platform of personal growth, enabling me to create debate skills and express my ideas, the bonds I’ve created with people go beyond the club. To make a lasting impression on the team and the conference, my goal as the Deputy Press Director is to leave a legacy of excellence, originality, and impact. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you, and having one of the best RIOMUN meetings possible!
